This gate is one of many to be found amongst the impressive ruins of the Alcazaba of Malaga, it leads into a walkway that separates the inner curtain wall from the outer.
The Alcazaba was a Royal Palace and was built on the site of a Phoenician lighthouse during the 10th century.
